Medical Front Desk Receptionist New York NY 10128
We are looking for an enthusiastic Front Desk Receptionist to join our practice full time in New York NY 10128. We are seeking a receptionist who, as a member of the patient care team and the primary point of patient contact, will be responsible for positive patient relations, proper telephone communication, appointment scheduling, and patient registration. The ideal candidate is friendly, caring, efficient, a great communicator and multitasker, and team player! Must love working with people and have basic computer skills such as email, Word, Excel. Preferably the incoming candidate has at least 2 years’ experience working in a medical office. We have 2 offices within the 10128 area and the incoming reception would be splitting time between both locations.

Duties:
- Greets and receives patients/visitors to practice facility.
- Distributes and assures appropriate intake forms are completed properly.
- Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays.
- Answer telephone calls and forwards messages accordingly.
- Schedules and confirms appointments.
- Enters patient demographic information into database.
- Ensure accuracy when recording patient data.
- Collects on-site payments, as necessary. Review patient’s account and check for previous balance. Collects any previous balances owed.
- Process referrals to ancillary services (set-up appointments and complete insurance referral forms as needed).
- Demonstrates proficiency with software applications and technology.
- Adapt communications and behaviors to fit patients’ needs and understanding.
- Maintains a clean and organized workspace and office space. Upkeeps waiting room area.
- Full time Monday-Friday 9am – 5pm
- $20-$22/hr based on experience plus potential bonus compensation
