Physician Assistant OR Nurse Practitioner Phoenix AZ Urgently Hiring $130k-$140k NO on-call and 4-day work week!
We are looking for an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our well-established medical office full time in Phoenix, AZ. We are looking for a motivated PA-C/NP who has experience and knowledge in pain medications and dispensing to join our team! Must have at least 3 years' experience in either Orthopedic, Neurology, PM& R, or Internal Medicine. The incoming PA/NP will play a central role in patient evaluation, treatment planning, ongoing management, and coordination of care for individuals with acute and chronic pain conditions. This includes direct patient care, procedural support, documentation, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with medical standards and state/federal regulations.

We offer compassionate care with our complex patients with med management and office procedures such as TPI's, IV therapies with some injection options.
Duties:
Conduct comprehensive new patient evaluations, including full history, medication review, functional limitations, and psychosocial factors contributing to pain. Perform focused physical exams, including neurologic, musculoskeletal, and functional assessments tailored to pain complaints.
Review and interpret diagnostic imaging (MRI, X-ray, CT), laboratory results, and specialist notes.
Formulate individualized treatment plans that may include interventional procedures, physical therapy, behavioral health referral, and pharmacologic management.
Prescribe and manage pain medications, including non-opioid and opioid regimens, in compliance with state and DEA guidelines.
Monitor for side effects, misuse, or diversion of controlled substances using PDMP checks and urine drug screens.
Provide opioid risk assessments and educate patients on responsible medication use and tapering strategies
Assist or perform minor in-office procedures as credentialed (e.g., trigger point injections, joint injections, nerve blocks, IV Drips, PIT). Can provide training if needed
Evaluate patients for interventional pain procedures (e.g., epidural injections, RFA, spinal cord stimulation) and coordinate with pain physicians or anesthesiologists for scheduling.
Accurately document all visits in the EMR system, including HPI, exam, assessment, plan, medication changes, and patient education.
Educate patients on pain physiology, diagnosis, treatment options, and expectations
Provide lifestyle modification counseling including weight loss, ergonomics, sleep hygiene, and exercise
Serve as the primary point of contact for patient questions, symptom updates, and coordination between visits.
Manage follow-up appointments to assess response to treatment, adjust plans, and continue patient support.
Adjust medication regimens and treatment strategies based on clinical outcomes and patient goals
Participate in weekly or bi-weekly case reviews with internal team, physicians, behavioral health providers, and other specialists.
Refer patients for advanced diagnostics, physical therapy, behavioral health, or surgical consultation as indicated
Coordinate with primary care and other specialists to ensure continuity of care.
Review labs, imaging, and patient messages between appointments
Support clinic flow by managing acute patient needs, walk-ins, or urgent follow-ups
Participate in quality improvement projects or clinical audits.
Qualifications:
Completion of a Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner Program
Licensed to practice in AZ
Experience in Pain management, Ortho and Neurology with knowledge in pain medications and dispensing required
Current DEA license
Willingness to work as a part of a multidisciplinary team
Schedule:
Full time -Monday - Thursday
4-day work week =3-day weekends- every weekend!
No on-call required
Salary (range):
$130k-$140k
