Physical Therapist New Hyde Park NY (Long Island) We are looking for a motivated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our practice full time in New Hyde Park, NY. We are looking for Physical Therapists with outpatient orthopedic PT experience, to provide top quality care and manage the daily operations of our physical therapy services. Ideally, we need a physical therapist who is business minded, has experience leading a team to include 2 PTAs, has excellent manual technique skills treating spine and musculoskeletal conditions, and strong interpersonal skills to interact and communicate well with patients, staff and doctors.

Our multidisciplinary team provides a variety of treatments for musculoskeletal and spine pain to include pain management, acupuncture, physical therapy, sports medicine, and stem cell therapy. We are passionate about providing the most comprehensive and up to date treatments for our patients.
Duties:
Patient Consultation/evaluations-review health and medical histories, exam patients, review pertinent medical records/imaging, and reason for visit
Consult with referring Physicians/Healthcare teams regarding diagnosis if needed
Develop and implement physical therapy treatment programs based on each patient's particular needs to improve patients' strength, mobility, and function
Assist patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment and techniques to include exercise instruction, manual therapy techniques, modern modalities, and activities of daily living (Provide hands-on/manual therapy, such as massage, stretching, and exercises)
Supervise, manage and advise the PTAs on patient care as needed
Compose discharge notes for patients, refer to appropriate outside sources, as necessary
Patient education on the benefits of PT, treatment plan maintenance, and home exercises
Documentation/progress notes- accurate and timely records, document treatments rendered in patient charts, Record patient conditions and responses to treatments in charts after each visit
Collaboration with the other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care
Communicate effectively with both the staff and patients
Create an excellent experience for patients through a friendly and focused attitude
Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program
PT license in New York
Managerial experience in PT business operations and insurance landscape with goal to grow and expand
Schedule:
Full time Monday- Friday
Total Compensation (range):
$120k-$150k with bonuses(depending on experience)
