Physical Therapist Grayson, GA (35 miles NE of Atlanta)
We are looking for an experienced, motivated Physical Therapist to join our Therapy group full time in Grayson, GA. We have 2 opportunities available, a staff therapist and Clinical Director. We prefer the staff therapist have at least 2 years of experience, and the clinical director to have at least 3 years of experience. Must be interested in learning neuro/vestibular therapies. The clinical director must also have strong leadership skills and willingness to lead and grow a large team. We would prefer a Physical therapist who has a dry needling certification. Duties of Clinic director/Staff Therapist: 
  • Provides patient care in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Understand and the implement our behavioral model (arc) while practicing.
  • Documentation, including but not limited to daily notes, weekly reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports. Document in a compliant fashion that is in accordance with company policy and state & federal guidelines.
  • Assure that patients are treated promptly in accordance with their scheduled appointments.
  • Convey to patients the importance of complying with established plans of care, including home exercise programs, and minimizing cancellations and no show of appointments. This is tracked independently with the expectation of achieving at 90% appointment kept rate.
  • Meet with Clinic Director/General Manager/Ownership to discuss clinical performance and success planning on a regular basis.
  • Consults with referring physicians as needed through documentation as well as verbally.
  • Identifying, tracking and marketing to potential referral sources, maintaining relationships with current referral sources, and community outreach and relationship development
  • Enhancing EMR templates for compliance and best practice.
  • Pursue continuing education in the form of formal classes, reading of periodicals and other literature.
  • Reviews Physician’s referral (prescription) and patient’s condition and medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required.
  • Tests and measures patient strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, respiratory and circulatory efficiency, and records findings to develop or revise treatment programs.
  • Plans and prepares a written treatment program based on evaluation of patient data.
  • Instructs, motivates, and assists patients to perform various physical activities and in use of assistant and supportive devices such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
  • Administers treatments, manual therapy, and traction to relieve pain and improve functioning
  • Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
  • Records treatment, response, and progress in the patient's chart into the computer.
  • Instructs patients and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home.
  • Confers with Physicians and other practitioners to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment programs, and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of patient’s health care.
  • Plans and conducts lectures and training programs on physical therapy and related topics for medical staff, students, and community groups.
  • Plans and develops research programs and participates in conducting research.
  • Patient intake forms are together, on clipboard and ready to go. Patient referral forms are on clipboard and ready to go.
  • Verify that all insurance verification is done the day prior to a patient’s appointment.
  • Verify that Active Patients Missing Appointments reports are acted upon and entered into the system by Friday at close of business.

Requirements:
  • Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited school
  • Current State licensing and all other state-required documentation in GA
  • 2-3+ years of outpatient clinical experience and leadership/management experience requirement for the clinical director position
  • Dry needling certification preferred

Schedule:
  • Full time (M-F 8:30-5:30)
Salary (range):
  • Staff PT $80K-$90K, Clinic director $90K - $95K
